Public Input

The Sugarloaf Treasured Landscape Management Plan is the first of ten area plans prescribed by the Livable Frederick master plan approved in 2019.

Frederick County has invited public input into the planning process - first through a Citizen Advisory group, then through public input to the county Planning Commission and the County Council. So far, this process has taken more than three years.

Members of the Sugarloaf Alliance have participated from the outset. We invite you to contribute your perspective as the Planning Commission and the County Council moves through its revisions and toward its final vote.

Speak out! Here's how to submit your comments.

Our efforts now extend to collaborating with residents and environmental partners to watch-dog data center development in Frederick County. Sugarloaf Alliance supports locating data centers on sites already zoned industrial, but we are concerned that industry as well as local and state governments seem willing to sacrifice environmental quality in pursuit of big monetary returns. Sugarloaf Alliance is working in support of “best practices” legislation and enforcement of applicable laws and regulations.

We all live downstream. Again, we invite you to contribute your perspective. Here's how.
